Working with AMD-polluted water

Water resources management has become a vital aspect of civil engineering as researchers seek ways to improve flood control, drought management, and water/waste treatment, among other issues.

The Civil Engineering faculty at Ohio University are making advances in the field of water resources management. Research into zebra mussel control, mitigation of pollutants in storm water runoff, and acid mine drainage form just a part of Ohio University's effort to improve the management and quality of water resources.
