Erdinc Oner obtained a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering (IE) from Cankaya University, in Ankara, Turkey in June 2001. He is currently a M.S. student in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE) at Ohio University in Athens. He has been a research assistant in the ORITE Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory June 2002. He graduated as the third highest-ranked student from his class in the Industrial Engineering Department at Cankaya University. In his senior year as an undergraduate, he was a student teaching assistant. His internship was at MAN A.S., which is one of the most prestigious firms in the Turkish automotive industry. For his senior year graduation project, he worked on a case study entitled “Layout Design of Composite and Metal Bonding Facility at Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI)”. He was the co-author of athe paper “Daytime Legibility of White Landolt Rings on Green Traffic Sign Backgrounds” that was presented at the 2003 Transportation Research Board conference.

His undergraduate coursework includes operations analysis and planning, simulation with SIMAN V, operations research, production planning, computer integrated manufacturing, human resources management, stochastic processes, engineering economy, and reliability engineering. His graduate coursework at Ohio University includes human factors engineering, human-machine systems engineering, quality systems engineering, manufacturing data systems, simulation with ARENA, systems engineering, advanced problems in computer applications, and introduction to designed experiments.
