Teaching associateships (TA), graduate associateships (GA), and research associateships (RA) are available to students with excellent academic qualifications. Students holding a TA, GA, or RA appointment receive stipends ranging from $1800 to $5000 per quarter plus a tuition scholarship. TAs and GAs support the educational mission of the department. RAs are supported by research funds. Some tuition scholarships without accompanying stipends are also available to the top academically qualified students.
